THE FORMATION OF THE NIGERIAN WOMEN ORGANIZATION GREECE
AFTER OUR VISIT TO MRS. MARGARITA PAPANDREOS, WIFE OF THE EX-PRIME MINISTER/LEADER OF THE SOCIALIST PARTY (PASOK) IN GREECE, AS A GROUP OF AFRICAN WOMEN, ORGANIZED BY MRS. YVETTE JARVIS, THREE NIGERIAN WOMEN, NAMELY MRS. NORA UKACHUKWU, MRS RITA IGE UROWAYINO AND MRS SUZAN NYECHE FELT THAT CHAIRTY BEGINS AT HOME, THAT IS, SAW THE NEED OF CORDINATING OURSELVES UNDER ONE UMBRELLA WITH A COMMON VOICE TO DEFEND, PROTECT AND SUPPORT THE RIGHTS OF THE NIGERIAN MOTHER AND CHILD AS WELL AS KNOWING OUR OBLIGATIONS IN GREECE AND TO OUR NATION NIGERIA.
WITH THE GUIDANCE FROM TWO GREAT LEADERS AND WONDERFUL PEOPLE, MRS YVETTE JARVIS AND MR. AKMED MOAVIA, THE NIGERIAN WOMEN ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED AND BECAME A REGISTERED NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION WITH THE GREEK GOVERNMENT IN 2005.
